Tessellations.org Webmaster - Sethness

Seth uses tessellations as picture components rather than as a completely filled plane (which David, this site's original webmaster, tended to do), so we complement each other nicely!

You can see the Sethness galleries by clicking on the orange 'Galleries' menu above and selecting 'Seth Galleries'.

Seth has also designed a children's tessellation colouring book with text in both English and Japanese. He says...

1) It's a 30-ish-page book with one complete pattern to be colored in (even pages) and one complete-the-puzzle page (odd pages) per tessellation.

2) There's a mini banner on the outer edge of each page that can be cut out. If all of them are pasted together they form one long morphing pattern

3) There're Japanese/English language puzzles on each puzzle page, to introduce a different kind of learning (language).

4) It is aimed at kids in the 8 to 15 year old range, who're still young enough to have developing language and art skills, but are entering the critical time in their lives when the fun of this kind of learning is too often forgotten or labelled a childish thing or drowned in daunting schoolwork.

5) Ideally, the book will be accompanied by a plastic template card with holes punched in it. ?The holes would conform to the 15-or-so tessellation patterns offered in the book. Kids can either complete the coloring book's puzzles freehand, or use the plastic template.

Seth would like to hear from any publisher interested in publishing it.
